The sudden pain deep inside?
How can I explain,
The resigned look in my eye?
You asked but the words are locked deep inside .
Your eyes are bright and smiling,
Your heart is light and shining.
You just spoke with your beautiful parents.
Two beautiful souls still with you.
How can I tell you there’s a hole in my heart,
Filled with unshed tears and regret,
Words unspoken, thoughts unshared,
Without counting the seconds the time slipped by,
The time will never come to share them now.
They have crossed the veil of this mortal coil,
But deep in my heart they will forever remain,
And it shames me to say it brings me pain,
To hear that laugh, that love, that joy,
Which I can no longer share,
Each time you call your parents,
Wishing for a moment I could share that joy,
And speak once more with those I still love,
Safe and well on the other side,
Yet beyond all reach I possess to hear them.
So laugh and love and be joyous in each others hearts, Since time can steal away those moments too soon, And then we must wait you til we are reunited, As all souls one day will be. We love, we laugh, we cry and time seems to hold no sway. Then one day we find there’s no more time left. The richness of life we share with our loved ones fills our hearts with an abundance of gratitude, ever mindful of each moment we are given. So live each moment as if there’s no other, be present in all that you do. Life is glorious in the gifts it brings, the simple joy of a hug, a smile, the comfort of a knowing smile. The love we share wraps around us always and in the midst of our despair their comforting arms encircle us with love. Know always that we are loved and blessed by more than we could ever have known. The soul is eternal and as a soul in a human body I know I can be reunited with my loved ones – when my time is come. Love, light and blessings always Susan. ❤
Always hard when someone leaves us. We cry, we remember, we live our lives. We honour those we have lost by remembering them with love and joy.
“At the going down of the sun….
…lest we remember them”
Is appropriate for all those we have lost and loved. Let us NEVER forget them.
Amen
