In the dim recesses
Of long lost memories

Where forgotten dreams
Live on for eternity
There was once
A vision oft repeated
Of a stranger
Tall and strong
Dark of hair
And beautiful hazel eyes.
Hazel eyes
Look back at me
In my mirror each day
A dream or a wish
Who knows for sure
And the dream forgotten
As ages pass
Life moves on
Loneliness bites deep
Foolish to take a chance
Is it fate that steps in
As he appears
Tall and strong
Dark of hair
And looking in his eyes

Memories flood back
She blurts
“You have hazel eyes”.
“To dream by night is to escape your life. To dream by day is to make it happen.”
― Stephen Richards
.
There are times when dreams are just dreams, and there are other times when they are more than that. They can be the souls way of telling you to be aware of something of importance. It is up to us to pay attention.
Life sometimes has a funny way of bringing about what is meant to be – within the right time frame. For many years as a child I dreamed of this person, who I felt in my soul, that I knew and had known for eternity. All I could say with certainty was he was tall, dark haired and had hazel eyes. He always gave me a feeling of security, his strength was not something of over developed muscles but an aura he carried with him.
It took many years and many different people crossing my path before this ‘phantom’ from my dreams really appeared before me, and yes, I did blurt out, “You’ve got hazel eyes”. It felt the most natural and at the same time important thing to acknowledge. Feel a little gauche – oh yes, but neither of us was really aware of it. (We both have hazel eyes). I knew that Spirit had arranged for this to occur.
It has been one if the best things to happen to me… amongst many Spirit has given me. I am grateful for this gift and know that many more will come because I am open to the synchronicity in our lives and the gratitude we feel when that special moment arrives.
May you all have your dreams come true.
Have a wonder filled weekend.
Ciao, Susan x

Love the poem. At a young age, I dreamed of a man with dark hair and Musical notes floating around him. Years later I met my husband and felt a deep since of familiarity about him. He’s a musician. We will be celebrating our 34th anniversary in March.

Fabulous. You have a couple of years on us 😄 We had our First anniversary this year (wedding) so four years together. Just an old married couple 😉. Just proves dreams come true in their own time. 💘

Thank you. Affirmations and gratitude, bring more of the same😄. Yet it’s true, sounds so crazy for that to be the first thing to say when you meet someone but that’s exactly what occurred. “stranger than fiction”

Love the poem Susan. Yes, I agree about dreams. I have had my fair share of different dreams, none of them have eventuated, though they continue to haunt me over the years. As you say, in their own time. I am now though realising that most of mine have been from past lives..
Well, that is My thing..
Glad you and Ray found each other..you seem so close 🙂

Thanks Sandy, I think it was a case of learning what we had planned and the reward came later 😉. Not that the learning stops, does it? We just learn our lessons travelling together which is so much better.
Blessings. Susan
