Quietly
Listen
Hear the night sigh
Look
See the moon rise
Watch
Entranced as she rises
Full and round
Breathe deeply
Draw the magic in
Feel the earth neath your feet
Feel its rhythm and its beat
Stop a moment
Wriggle your toes
Into the soft loamy soil
Can you smell
The new mown grass
Or hear
The rising sound of cicadas
Watch now
As she climbs
Back into the sky
The nights’ reign
Once more leaving
As daylight
Slowly creeping
Fading
The darkness of the night.
beautiful, Susan. thank you. xo
