The Parliament Award and Wolf Pack Image from Bishop Eddie Tatro

This new and beautiful set of awards (which you need to post both badges on your post) was created by Bishop Eddie Tatro and was given to me by Jenn at http://myfibrotasticlife.wordpress.com

Now onto the rules

  1. Firstly, display the Award on your site (see Award page or sidebar!) You earned it and you deserve it!
  2. List a few things that make you a loyal member.
  3. Thank the person who nominated you and link back to their blog.
  4. Nominate at least five (5) well deserving bloggers whose loyalty and love you value and consider part of your Parliament and Pack; for the Award and let them know the wonderful news by sending them a message on their site.

Firstly I’d like to thank Jenn for nominating me for this award… it was a complete surprise – you have NO idea.  She can be found jumping around at http://myfibrotasticlife.wordpress.com

Why do I deserve to be here, getting this award?

  1. I blog almost every day – having just finished the NaBloPoMo, I might keep up the 7days a week although I need a days off every so often.
  2. I am moved by the people I have come to know and care about through my journey here one WordPress. If I know they are having a hard time I try to be there, supporting with encouragement or a shoulder (virtual) for the to vent or cry on.
  3. I try to comment /reply if someone does say hi or anything on my posts. Sometimes it’s difficult if I just get a smiley… it feels like Cheshire cat time if we keep swapping cheesy grins. 🙂
  4. I might seem a trifle ‘distant’ but I care very deeply for others, it’s a hangover of the protective shell days.
  5. 5. I try to comment of people’s posts, or if I can find no word to add I let them know I visited and liked it by hitting that…”LIKE”  button.

My nominees are

1. Tammy at http://tlohuis.wordpress.com

2. Dawn at http://dawnyhoskin.wordpress.com

3. Trisha at http://trishapearson.wordpress.com

4. Laurie at http://laurie27wsmith.wordpress.com

5 Nina at http://thepollyannaplan.wordpress.com

Many thanks everyone.

Blessings  Susan x

As I promised here is my  final message regarding  these beautiful awards. I will miss them.

The time has come to be upfront and share my honest thoughts to people who I respect and admire. I understand the purpose and honour of many blogger awards; I feel blessed and humbled to have been nominated a few and really I do feel honoured, however,

I do not wish to receive any further awards…

My most grand and heart-warming awards are your Likes and Comments. Any feedback or disagreements only help me learn and grow.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post.

The Inner Peace Award

Award - Owls and Orchids

Inner Peace Award

Nominated by Kerry Mitchell http://kerrycmitchell.com

The rules of this award are to say why you choose to accept it, and then pass it on to others.

This is probably more difficult than others – why, because I’m not sure I deserve this. My Inner Peace is challenged on an almost daily basis, by eruptions of pain, stress, upset, anger.. all of which are initiated by and then directed at the Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, and so on.

I consider myself a “work in progress.” All my studies have been prompted by a desire to understand not only myself but others and ultimately how to help people –which includes me. I have always wanted to help people. For those of you who have read my police stories, and my grand “In Search” saga…and there are many more ‘in here’ to be written, my sole purpose was then and still is, to help those who were not in a position to do what I can do and therefore help them. If that sounds pompous or grand – it isn’t it’s simply the easiest way I know to describe how I feel.

If my writing, comments or presence (when I’m about), can bring a smile to someone’s face and lighten their load then I’ve had a good day. On that premise I can accept the award. As I said, I’m a work in progress and if they had a 12 step program I’d be forever slipping and working my way back up again.

Inner Peace is a state of mind and well as being, in my humble opinion. I have much to learn but I have some amazing people who I listen to and take what is right for me, at that time, and off we go. In light of that I now pass this award on.

Tammy from   http://tlohuis.wordpress.com/

Walk with me on my journey of illness to the road of happiness and a life of fulfillment!

Tammy is an awesome person who, whilst  struggling with various chronic illnesses, doesn’t let that stop her as she blogs about finding the positives in life, engaging in mindfulness, and learning more about the “wise mind”. (I’m searching for that!).

Nicole at http://cauldronsandcupcakes.wordpress.com.au

Wise words from a wise lady. Nicole is always ready with a story and a ‘hug and a cup of tea’ just right to lift your spirits. She is amazing. She has juggled her own battles with illness whilst still being a terrific psychic and metaphysical teacher… for some inspirational words and teaching to mouth-watering recipes – check out Nicole’s blog. You’ll wish you had been there earlier. You must try her Ice Cream Plum Pudding – it’s awesome!

Nina http://thepollyannaplan.wordpress.com/

Nina, has been on a journey of brightening the world, one act at a time. I’ve been amazed at her upbeat and joyous approach to everything, good and not so good and finding something good at the end of the day,    And

Jenn at at http://myfibrotasticlife.wordpress.com

The most happy go lucky, plucky girl I’ve met. She does so much to help others and always with a big smile on her face. I wish I could be half so cheerful. Her positivity and upbeat approach is wonderful to see and hear about.

Thank You one and all for being the inspirations you are.

Blessings  Susan x

The Awards and my Thanks

I know I’ve been slack with this, but as everyone knows they do take up quite a bit of time, so here goes. I have split the acceptance for the awards into the individual ones… mainly for my convenience. You will notice that some people are mentioned more than once. It is entirely up to you if you roll them into one as far as the nominee stage is concerned. I haven’t seen anything which says you cannot nominate someone for one or all awards. My explanation, if I had attended to these as they came in I would have nominated the same people…. Because they are in a large group it looks worse than it is. Each person I have carefully thought about before choosing them. Should they, for whatever reason, decide not to accept the nomination then I ask the following:

  • You accept the nomination in the spirit it is intended.lease don’t return it
  • If you wish to pass it along to another deserving blogger please do so
  • If neither of the above apply, then accept my apologies for not having enough time to read everything on everyone’s blogs regarding whether awards are accepted or not. It is a very difficult task when a flurry of awards arrive.

I found this on another blog and whilst it might be heart warming to  amass a huge collection of awards, I am having difficulties, at times, simply getting my blog out. I am attending to my awards already received but then……

I appreciate your thoughts and wishes and ask that you understand the reason I have taken the following decision.

I will add this to the last award acceptance. Thank You

Now for the Awards.

The Dragon Award

Awards - Owls and Orchids

The Dragon’s Loyalty Award

I have been very fortunate- to be nominated for two Dragons Awards by the following lovely people:

Kerry Mitchell http://kerrycmitchell.com    and

Donna Parker at http://yadadarcyyada.wordpress.com

They both have the most diverse and amazing blogs, please go visit them, it’s well worth it.

There are rules to the award.  They are as follows:

1.  Display the award on your site.

2. Link back to the person who gave you the award in your acceptance post;

3. Nominate 15 other bloggers for this award and notify them they received the award.

4. List seven interesting things about yourself

Can you hear the wailing now? -“I don’t have 7 interesting things to say about myself…..which of course no-one will believe.

Here I go:

  1. My non-existent injuries from a car accident 13 years ago have put me in bed much of the time with chronic pain. But don’t worry; it’s all in my head!  The dilemma here is the wonderful drugs to alleviate the pain from my non injured back, (yes they’ll prescribe meds for something in my head) make me so dopey (lol) I can’t do very much most days before midday. It really is a nuisance.
  2. I have more friends on WordPress than in real life. True – get divorced and everyone takes a long hike and never returns…..it must be contagious. So now I feel fairly cut off from outside life.
  3. I have a PhD in Metaphysics, A Diploma in Counseling, Master in Reiki, Melchizedek and Pellowah healing, am an Angel Intuitive, Level 3 Australian Bush Flower essence practitioner, Psychic, tarot reader, and oodles of other metaphysical goodies…I just love what we “can’t” see or “hear,” or so some say, but Not Me!
  4. I’m also the Director of a business called Executive Mastermind, under whose umbrella I have Life Change 90 – Ray does all the bloggystuff for that. Director of Executive Financial, and have a Diploma in Financial Planning.
  5. When I was in school I wanted to be a forensic scientist but the subject wasn’t available in Australia when I came here. Drat!
  6. I’m caught between two cultures: people in Australia tell me I have a cultured English voice, but my remaining Yorkshire family in England can’t understand a word I say – enough said.
  7. I never used to drink tea, only coffee, now I drink tea and only an occasional GOOD coffee.  I wonder if this is why I’m “sick”?  Tis a thought…

The Nominees…….. drum roll please
